We hope that you will have a successful season at the Pagosa Farmers Market. Although this is only our second year, last years large turnout indicates that there is a local demand for this market style. Your participation will contribute greatly to the further expansion and growth of this venue in our community.
You are responsible for reading and following the rules and regulations of the Pagosa Springs Farmers Market:
Section II. Merchandise. Vendors are asked to post their growing methods. We would like to promote organic growing or growing without pesticides.
Section III. Fees. It is the intent to keep vendor fees low to encourage participation and build a viable Farmers Market in Pagosa for years to come. This year the Southwest Organization for Sustainability (SOS) has taken on the responsibility for the running of the market. All workers are volunteers from SOS. Fees will cover expenses only.
Section IV. Licenses. The location of the Farmer’s Market this year is with-in the boundaries of the town of Pagosa Springs and requires a Business License from the town of Pagosa Springs. In order for small producers to participate without the expense of an individual license, SOS will provide the choice of operating under an umbrella business license or under your own business license. You must indicate this on your application.
Section V. Health Regulations. Included in this packet is a copy of the State of Colorado Regulations for your information and use.
Be sure to be in touch with the Site Manager or SOS members if you have any questions, concerns, great ideas or want to help with the behind-the-scenes fun.
