Experts and business leaders on sustainability worldwide, including myself, have said that the pandemic only brought climate change and the environment further into the global dialogue. Amid everything that happened in 2020, one of the top stories was how the lockdowns and changes in human behavior impacted the environment. For instance, because of the national travel closures, airplane travel declined. And with millions of more people working from home, carbon emissions declined. In turn, pollution fell, and the climate changed visibly for the better.
